2-0!
Sloppy play in the back by Montreal and good pressure by David Accam led to a simple finish for Haris Medunjanin in the 88th minute to make it 2-0. Two goals on the road and three points seems like too good to actually be true, but we’re almost there.

10v10
Philly native Daniel Lovitz initially got away with taking down Fafa Picault outside the 18 but the video review confirmed the obvious red and it’s now 10 on 10.
First Sub
Warren Creavalle replaces Borek Docksal in the 63rd minute to give the Union additional cover.

Union down to 10 men
Burke was having such a great day and then slid in with an ugly challenge to get a deserved straight red in the 59th minute. Absolutely stupid and unnecessary challenge there that deserved the ejection.
Cory Burke
What a day for Burke. His first start and his first goal. Beautiful finish and a great left-footed cross from Ray Gaddis. Unexpected, indeed.
Not a bad way to make your first MLS start.

Ray Gaddis Shot on Goal
Jim Curtin said yesterday that a goal could come from an unexpected source today. I’m pretty sure he didn’t have Ray Gaddis in mind though. Gaddis has zero goals in 151 career appearances and just five shots on goal. He got number six today after making a nice move to create space for himself just outside the semi-circle. Evan Bush had to stretch out to make the save, but it looked good coming off his foot.
Eventful Start
The Union high press nearly produced a goal early on and both teams had a penalty claim, but it’s somehow still scoreless. Fafa Picault and Cory Burke, two of four changes to the starting XI from Wednesday, have both been active so far. They just need to produce that elusive road goal.
Starting Lineups
Curtin said there would be changes. Marcus Epps is in for David Accam, Fafa Picault for Ilsinho, Cory Burke for CJ Sapong and Mark McKenzie for Jack Elliott. Sapong, who was banged up in Wednesday’s loss in Columbus, isn’t in the 18.
