The Philadelphia Union U17 team narrowly missed out on qualifying for the Champions Division of the Generation adidas Cup finals, but they’ll still have a chance to test themselves in Frisco, Texas later this month.

The Union will face a Liga MX youth team from Club Tijuana and MLS academy sides from Colorado Rapids and Montreal Impact in Group B of the Premier Division bracket on Friday, March 23.

Their match against their Liga MX youth team opponent will be live streamed on MLSSoccer.com. The game kicks off at 10 a.m. eastern time.

After a day off, the Union will face Colorado Rapids on Sunday, March 25 at 12:15 p.m. eastern and finish group play after another day off against Montreal Impact at 10 a.m. eastern time on Tuesday, March 27.

The winner of Group B will advance to the semifinals with the other three group winners. The Union made the semifinals of the Premier Division last year, losing to a Liga MX youth team from Tigres UANL.

Tigres is in Group C of this year’s competition with New York Red Bulls, Chicago Fire and San Jose Earthquakes. CF Monterrey in Group D and Japanese club Matsumoto Yamaga FC in Group A are the other non-MLS academy teams in the competition.
