Six points from two games has the Philadelphia Union U17s on the brink of advancing in the Premier Division of the Generation adidas Cup finals.
Adam Lenges opened the scoring for the Union on Sunday against the Colorado Rapids and after an own goal tied the game, Matt Myers delivered the game-winner off an assist from Tony Antek Sienkiel.
Club Tijuana beat Montreal Impact 2-1 in the other Group B match on Sunday. The two teams are in second with three points each while the Colorado Rapids are 0-2-0. Tijuana plays Colorado today at 10 a.m. in a game kicking off simultaneously to the Union’s match with Montreal.
The Union have a plus three in goal differential while Montreal are even and Tijuana is minus one.
