Jack Elliott clearly doesn’t want to hear about how second year players have taken a dip in form for the Philadelphia Union in past years.
For the second week in a row, the 22-year-old made the MLS Team of the Week and received the highest fan rating from our readers, earning nearly 90 percent upvotes in our voting.
Since the game against Columbus Crew ended in a draw, it should be no surprise that the top four players in the ranking are part of the back five. Keegan Rosenberry came in second with just over 88 percent of upvotes, followed by Andre Blake at just under 84 percent and Auston Trusty at nearly 79 percent.
On the opposite end of things, fans were not very impressed with Borek Dockal’s debut. The hype and expectation surrounding his arrival on loan from the Chinese Super League probably played into this some and had he found the back of the net on his attempt in the first half it would likely be a different story.
As it was, his unspectacular debut landed the Czech Republic international near the bottom with almost 64 percent downvotes. Only Fabian Herbers was lower with just over 70 percent downvotes.
