Two dynamic attacking prospects in the Philadelphia Union Academy have been called into a United States U16 training camp in Carson, California this week.
Union U15 teammates Selmir Miscic and Patrick Bohui have combined for 41 goals in all competitions this season.
Miscic, a Vermont native who now lives in Royersford, has scored 21 goals in 12 league matches and six in five Generation adidas Cup matches. Bohui, who is originally from Cotre d’Ivoire, became eligible to play in the DA midway through the fall but still has managed 10 goals in seven matches while adding four goals in five GA Cup games.
The call-up is the first U.S. youth international call-up for Bohui.
Head coach Shaun Tsakiris called in 36 players for the second U16 training camp of the year. Miscic was with the team as part of the U.S. youth national team summit in Florida in January. PDA forward Dantouma Toure, of Trenton is the lone player born in 2004 on the team. The rest are all 2003s.
The camp runs through Saturday and will include matches against mixed birth year players from LA Galaxy and Liga MX team Club Tijuana.
