A week after losing a high-scoring match against NPSL team FC Motown, Bethlehem Steel FC dominated in an 11-1 win over Junior Lone Star’s U23 squad on Saturday afternoon at YSC Sports near King of Prussia.

Four players finished the match with braces, including Philadelphia Union Academy duo Brenden Aaronson and Issa Rayyan and Jamaican international and trialist Gregory Mesasm Jr. Reigning USL Rookie of the Year finalist Santi Moar also had a brace in his first preseason action of 2018 with a pair of goals over a six-minute span early in the second half.

Forward Brandon Allen, Academy attacker Tonny Temple and trialist Joe Gallardo also added goals.

Junior Lone Star’s team was a mixture of players from their UPSL and NPSL teams as well as some trialists.

One trialist, Abdul Mansaray, spoiled the Steel clean sheet when he beat Academy goalkeeper Lukas Burns from the spot in the 60th minute after Steel FC trialist Mickey George was whistled for a foul in the box.
