Mark Mckenzie and Auston Trust earn first USMNT callup
McKenzie (Bear, DE) and Trusty (Media, PA) both made their MLS debuts this past season; the former is the youngest player on the full USMNT roster for this camp and both players are among a group of six called up today who are age-eligible for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

Major League Soccer announced all 24 clubs’ 2019 home openers, with the season kicking off on Saturday, March 2. There are some great matchups to look forward to on opening weekend.
Minnesota signs their third Designated Player
Slovakian defensive midfielder Jan Gregus will join the Loons as a designated player in 2019. Gregus currently plays for FC Copenhagen of the Danish Superliga. He will leave for Minnesota immediately, to be introduced in January.
D.C. United pursuing Estudiantes midfielder Lucas Rodriguez
The 21 year old appears to play both centrally and on the left for EDLP, and has appeared in all 15 of their games this season (starting 14).
San Jose signs Brazilian midfielder Judson on loan
Judson, 25, has spent the last three years on loan with Brazilian club Avaí FC. Originally joining the team in 2016, Judson helped his side earn promotion to the top-flight Série A by finishing in second place of 20 teams with a 19-10-9 record and conceding the second fewest goals in the league.

Gregg Berhalter names first USMNT for winter friendlies
The players will report on January 6th to Chula Vista, California, where they will prepare for two matches: a friendly against Panama in Glendale, Arizona on January 27th and another friendly against Costa Rica in San Jose on February 2nd.
