A new secondary jersey for the Philadelphia Union will feature custom back tags designed in partnership with “local influencers,” the club announced on Wednesday.
The jersey, which will be introduced by the team early next year, will include a heat transferred design located on the back near the name that players and fans purchasing the jersey will be able to choose.
There will be 10 different custom tag designs that will be decided through a fan vote on the Union’s website and social media channels from December 13 through December 22.
A new set of designs will be unveiled each day.
Rapper Freeway, alternative rock group The Wonder Years, club Chief Tattoo Officer Bonedaddy’s Tattoo, local athletes Zach and Julie Ertz, as well as the club’s supporter group, the Sons of Ben participated in the design process for the tags.
Voters can vote across all channels (website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) and may vote as many times as they would like.
