Philadelphia Union midfielder Anthony Fontana was involved in four of the six goals in another United States romp on Wednesday in U20 World Cup qualifying.
After a scoreless first half and a Juan Pablo Torres goal in the 46th minute, Fontana assisted on a Ulysses Llanez goal in the 59th minute before scoring goals of his own in the 66th, 81st and 86th minutes. On the third goal, Fontana had his initial penalty kick saved but was able to clean up the rebound to complete the hat trick.
The U.S. has outscored opponents 32-2 through four games. Fontana has four of those goals and an assist and Union teammate Mark McKenzie has two. Matthew Real has been captaining the squad, which closes out Group A play in the CONCACAF U20 Championship on Friday against Suriname.
Another one for Fontana!
