Top-seeded Conestoga, Cocalico and Manheim Township on the boys side and Owen J. Roberts, Northwestern Lehigh and Strath Haven on the girls side were all knocked out in the early rounds of District playoffs last week, leaving the door open for lower seeds to fight for district crowns this week.
Conestoga fell to Council Rock North 1-0 last Thursday, which gave Unionville the opportunity to host a quarterfinal as the 9th seed on Saturday. Unionville, which ended Harriton’s season with a 4-1 win on Thursday, advanced to the District 1 4A semifinal with a 1-0 win over CR North. They’ll face fourth-seeded Abington while second-seeded Spring-Ford will host the sixth-seeded Central Bucks West after beating Radnor 2-1 on Saturday.

Manheim Township was taken out by 16-seeded Palmyra with a 3-2 loss, but like CR North, Palmrya dropped their quarterfinal match 3-2 to Central Dauphin, which plays fourth-seeded Cumberland Valley in one semifinal Tuesday in District 3 Class 4A. Second-seeded Wilson West Lawn faces the third-seeded Hempfield in the other semifinal.
Top-seeded Cocalico made it out of the first round with a 1-0 win over Berks Catholic but fell 5-2 to 9th-seeded Mechanicsburg in the District 3 Class 3A quarterfinal. Mechanicsburg face fourth-seeded Hershey and second-seeded Lower Dauphin play the sixth-seeded West York in the semifinals tonight. Top seed Lancaster Mennonite is one win away from the final in District 3 Class 2A while No. 1 Camp Hill faces No. 3 York Catholic in the District 3 Class A final on Wednesday.
Top seed Holy Ghost knocked out eighth-seed Bishop Shanahan in District 1 3A play and will face Phoenixville in a semifinal today with a chance to take on the winner of No. 2 Strath Haven and sixth-seeded Upper Perkiomen.
New Hope plays Pope John Paul II and Lansdale Catholic plays Mastery South in the District 1/12 Class 2A semifinals while top-seeded Faith Chritian plays Phil-Mont Christian and Christian Academy plays Dock Mennonite in the District 1 Class semifinals today.
All four top seeds in District 11 are still in play for a district title. Freedom in Class 4A, Northwestern Lehigh in Class 3A, Tamaqua in Class 2A and Moravian Academy in Class A will look to avoid setbacks in their district semifinals.
On the girls side, top-seeded Strath Haven was knocked off by Villa Maria in District 1 Class 3A and top-seeded Owen J. Roberts was taken down by 17 seed Haverford in District 1 Class 4A. Eighth-seeded Souderton plays 20th seed Penncrest in one Class 4A semi while No. 2 Conestoga plays third see Pennridge in the other.
Villa Maria has Nazareth Academy on Tuesday at Father Judge and Villa Joseph Marie plays Bishop Shanahan in the other District 1 Class 3A semifinal today.
Top seed New Hope plays No. 2 St. Basil in the District 1 Class 2A final on Tuesday and No. 1 Dock Mennonite faces Mastery Charter in the District 1 Class A final on Thursday.
The top seeds mostly all still remain in District 3 with No. 1 Central Dauphin one win away from the final in Class 4A with the 2 (Cumberland Valley), 3 (Wilson West Lawn) and 4 (Ephrata) still remaining. Top-seeded Mechanicsburg has fifth-seeded Berks Catholic in one semi while No. 2 Manheim Central plays third-seeded Lower Dauphin in the other Class 3A semi. Top-seeded Boiling Springs is still alive in Class 2A and No. 1 Fairfield will face No. 2 Camp Hill in the Class A final at Hersheypark Stadium on Wednesday.
Top seeds still remain in District 11 Class 4A (Parkland is No. 1), Class 3A (No. 1 Blue Mountain plays No. 2 Southern Lehigh in the final on Tuesday) and Class A (No. 1 Minersville plays fifth-seeded Notre Dame-East Stroudsburg). Eighth-seeded Notre Dame Green Pond, which knocked off top-seeded Northwestern Lehigh, faces fourth seed Allentown Central in one Class 2A semifinal while No. 3 Salisbury takes on No. 2 Palisades in the other.
