It was quite the night for Philadelphia sports fans with the Eagles advancing to the Super Bowl on Sunday, but for the United States Women’s National Team supporters out there, it was even sweeter.
Julie Ertz, one of the stars for the national team, had a game scheduled against Denmark at the same time her husband Zach Ertz, the starting tight end of the Philadelphia Eagles, had his NFC Championship Game against the Vikings.
The Red Stars midfielder scored a goal in the 5-1 win against Denmark, but was waiting the whole match to hear about the Eagles. Here’s Julie when she found out:
As soon as the whistle blew here in San Diego, we had some good news for @julieertz... @ZERTZ_86 & the @Eagles are heading to the @SuperBowl! pic.twitter.com/dI5MvG53VR

Just when you thought the feels couldn’t get any better, John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia recorded Zach watching Julie hear the news about him:
This is amazing@ZERTZ_86 in tears watching his wife @julieertz in tears when she finds out Zach is going to Super Bowl #FlyEaglesFly #SuperBowl

The best football-fútbol power couple never disappoints. Ertz had himself a pretty good day too, making eight catches for 93 yards in the 38-7 win.
Thankfully, Julie and the rest of the Americans aren’t in action again until the SheBelieves Cup starting on Mar. 1, so she should be watching Zach and company live, if not in Minneapolis.
The Eagles will play the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl on Feb. 4, in a rematch of Super Bowl XXXIX in 2004.
