Due to Hurricane Irma, the Category 5 storm that is looking ever more likely to hit Florida this weekend, the people in charge of the Tampa Bay Rowdies and Bethlehem Steel FC have agreed to push back the game to Wednesday September 27th. The match will be played at 3:00 p.m. Eastern. Also, the Gold Match for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of LVHN will now take place on Sunday the 24th against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Steel will wear gold training tops (they’re clean and good) before the match against their fellow statesmen as well as gold armbands to mark the occasion. From 2:00 p.m. until the 70th minute of the match, an auction will be held for the tops and the armbands which will be autographed and given to the highest bidder. Just so you know it’s cash or credit day of the match only.
If you purchased tickets to the match for this weekend, don’t worry, just bring your ticket to any match for the rest of the season and you’ll get in. Also in case your wondering, the donation of $8 per ticket will apply to the Riverhounds match as well as every ticket already purchased, so this is really looking like the best of a rough situation.
On behalf of Brotherly Game I’d like to extend my thoughts to everyone who has been impacted by the recent hurricane in Houston as well as wishing for the best for everyone in Florida who will be impacted.
