Three Philadelphia Union players named to United States roster

CJ Sapong and Chris Pontius will join Alejandro Bedoya in Bruce Arena’s 40 man preliminary Gold Cup camp.

The Philadelphia Union will have three players going into the Gold Cup camp for the United States National Team. USMNT mainstay Alejandro Bedoya will be joined by Chris Pontius and CJ Sapong when the 40 men go into camp in Nashville on June 25th. Pontius was with the United States earlier this year for a pair of friendlies against Serbia and Jamaica, while Sapong made his only two appearances back in 2012 when he was a member of Sporting Kansas City.
