U.S. Soccer Development Academy
Continental FC’s U18s and U16s both lost 2-0 to Baltimore Armour on the road while the U14s fell 4-1 (goal by Keah Tobey) and the U13s lost 4-2 (goals by Luc Mikula and Samuel Tryon). The U12 team picked up a 1-0 win and a 3-3 draw against PA Classics at home.
PA Classics U18 and U16 teams both lost by a goal to the Union at home. The U14s won 2-1 over Loudoun Soccer (goals by Ian Buckwalter and Gabriel Silva) but the U13s fell 3-2 (goals by Dallan Schoenberger and Evan Watt) at home.
Triton Regional High School (Runnemede, N.J.) boys soccer teammates Xavier Wilson (Georgian Court University) and Dylan Relos (Rutgers-Camden) both made commitments to play college soccer this fall. (Full disclosure: I’m a Triton grad).
Haverford College senior Will Corkery was named an All-American Athlete by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and EAS Sports Nutrition. The award recognizes student athlete accomplishments and dedication to strength and conditioning.
Former Drexel defender Ilai Shvika has landed at San Diego State after leaving the program in the winter. The Israel native had a pair of goals in 17 games for the Dragons last fall.
Penn head coach Rudy Fuller completed his incoming recruiting class with the announcement of IMG Academy forward Wes Maki. Fuller called Maki “a versatile attacking talent that is comfortable playing in any of the front four attacking spots.”
PA Classics midfielder Nick Kramer was announced as part of Belmont’s incoming recruiting class. Kramer has 13 starts and 20 appearances for the PA Classics U18 team this season.
Continental FC midfielder Jacob Lemelin (Sinking Spring, Pa.) verbally committed to Temple for 2018. He has two goals in 20 appearances for the Continental U16 team this season.

Reading United’s roster includes eight players with ties to the Philadelphia Union Academy and three others with ties to the region.
The 2017 Ocean City Nor’easters roster includes Philadelphia Union Academy grad John Schroeder (University of Delaware), Villanova goalkeeper Will Steiner, West Chester native Todd Morton (University of Delaware), Southampton, N.J. native Gus Valeriano (California University of Pennsylvania) and Swarthmore native Patrick Fallon (High Point).
Part of West Chester United’s first NPSL roster was released this week. It includes Lafayette forward Evan Vare (Jamison, Pa.), incoming Lafayette transfer Chris Gomez (Jamison, Pa.), Dartmouth midfielder Matt Greer (Chadds Ford, Pa.), Franklin & Marshall forward Ryan Fincher (West Chester, Pa.) and West Chester University midfielder Sami Phelps (Princeton, N.J.).
Darius Madison (Philadephia, Pa.) scored his second goal of the season for the Rochester Rhinos. Fellow Union Academy alum Christiano Francois made the USL Team of the Week for recording two assists for the Rhinos and drawing a penalty.
