Philadelphia Union defender Auston Trusty will be going to the U20 World Cup in South Korea, after all.

Selected as an alternate, Trusty has been training with the team in Japan ahead of the U20 World Cup but on Wednesday was added to the roster by head coach Tab Ramos to replace injured defender Marlon Fossey.

That means the 18-year-old Media native will be going to his second youth World Cup after representing the United States in the 2015 U17 World Cup in Chile.

Fellow Union homegrown player Derrick Jones is also on the squad for the U.S., which opens group play against Ecuador on May 22 (4 a.m. eastern time on FS1). The U.S. also play Senegal on May 25 at 7 a.m. eastern and Saudi Arabia on May 28 at 5 a.m. eastern in Group F play.

Trusty and Jones were teammates in the Philadelphia Union Academy and with Bethlehem Steel FC before both signed homegrown deals with the Union last summer.
