A dozen players with ties to the Philadelphia Union are among the 153 players heading to Florida next week for a United States youth international camp for players across the U16 through U20 teams.

Philadelphia Union Academy grads Anthony Fontana (Philadelphia Union / Newark, Del.), Matthew Real (Bethlehem Steel FC / Drexel Hill, Pa.), Mark McKenzie (Wake Forest / Bear, Del.) and Justin McMaster (Wake Forest / Atlanta, Ga.) lead the list of the older players called up.

Current academy players Brenden Aaronson (Medford, N.J.), Jeremy Rafanello (Delran, N.J.), Kris Shakes (Austin, Texas), Axel Picazo (Austin, Texas), Julian Anderson (Ocean, N.J.), Aboubacar Camara (Philadelphia, Pa.), Nick Pariano (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and Selmir Miscic (Royersford, Pa.) also received call-ups.

The invite was a first for Rafanello, who joined the Union U19s this fall from Continental FC and is third in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy in goals with 16 in 14 games. Camara, who has five goals in 14 matches for the U17 team, also received his first invite to a U.S. youth international camp. Camara is also eligible to represent Guinea internationally.

The camp will run January 2-11 in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. It’s the first camp of its kind for the U.S. youth team combining all five age groups.

“I am looking forward to building on the success our Youth National Teams had over the last two cycles (2014-2015 and 2016-2017),” U.S. Soccer Youth Technical Diretor Tab Ramos said in a news release. “This first ever Men’s YNT Summit Camp provides all of our teams the opportunity to team build and to continue the development of our style of play in one location together.”
