Halftime Recap: The Union are going nuts

The Union have broken their club record for goals scored in a half.

So many goals. Perhaps too many goals. The Philadelphia Union have entered halftime with a four-goal lead over Orlando City SC. In a meaningless game for both teams, the Union seem committed to end their season on a high note in front of the home crowd.

Ilsinho struck first for the Union, thumping home the game’s opener in just the third minute.

The Brazilian had a hand in his side’s second goal, which came just two minutes later.

In keeping with the pattern, Fafa Picault assisted on the Union’s third goal, which crossed the goal line in the 26th minute. The goal, which came off the foot of CJ Sapong, broke a seven-year club record.

Fafa Picault secured his brace 12 minutes later, when he slipped the ball in between OCSC ‘keeper Earl Edwards Jr.’s legs.

Here’s hoping we see another four-goal half (from the Union)!
