Penn Fusion 98 caps successful National League season in Florida

Penn Fusion 98 booked a spot in nationals while their U15 counterparts took over the top spot in their division during National League action in Florida last week

Penn Fusion 98 booked a spot in nationals after sweeping the final three games of their U.S. Youth Soccer National League season in Florida last week to finish the season with a 6-1-0 record.

Penn Fusion 98 topped Solar Chelsea Red 5-0 in the first game held at Disney’s Wild World of Sports behind a first half brace from Aiden McFadden and second half goals from Cameron Peploe, Richard Schlentz and Conner Weiss.

They followed that up with a 3-0 win over CESA 98 Premier behind goals from Quinn Dudek, Colin Fagan and Aiden McFadden.

A Samuel Brown brace led Penn Fusion to a 2-0 win over Ohio Galaxies FC 98 Elite in the last game. In seven games, Penn Fusion 98 outscored opponents 31-7 with Frank DeRosa and McFadden each finding the back of the net six times.

The local club also sits atop their division standings with 18 points but will need help to overcome second place FC United, which is eight points back but still has three games left to play in Las Vegas in March.

U18
Delaware Rush 99 finished their National League season with a 1-5-1 record with three straight losses in Florida.

They lost 5-3 to South Carolina United FC 99 Elite after conceding three unanswered goals in the second half. Owen Johansson scored a first half equalizer and Casey Kurlej had a second half brace for Delaware.

Jason Blackwell scored in the 9th minute to put Delaware Rush up 1-0 on Concorde Fire Elite 99, but they were sunk again by three second half goals.

Loudoun Red scored two unanswered goals in the second half after Gavin Ford’s equalizer to beat Delaware Rush 3-1 in the final game.

FC Montco Die Mannschaft will finish their season with three games March 10-12 in Las Vegas.

U17
HMMS Eagle FC 00 Titans finished their National League campaign with a 2-3-2 record after picking up a pair wins and a draw in Florida.

Orlando Monroy had a goal in each half and Max Radosavlejvic added a first half strike to power HMMS to a 3-0 win over Baltimore Bays 00 in the first game. Jesus Munoz scored the loan goal in the 57th minute to top FC Dallas 00 Che in the second game while the defense made it three straight clean sheets with a scoreless draw against LFSC Geerling in the final game.

Lehigh Valley United 2000 Black, LMSC Sabertooth Rats and Delaware Rush 00 will all play their final three games in Las Vegas in March.

U16
Penn Fusion 01 Elite lost all three of their final league games, falling to Solar Chelsea 01 1-0 on a 38th minute goal and falling 3-1 to Lobos Rush 01 3-1 and Loudoun 01 Red 4-1.

Aden Silfer and Corron Hovington picked up the goals for Penn Fusion, which finished league play with a 1-6-0 record.

U15
Penn Fusion Elite had a pair of 1-1 draws and a 3-0 win to finish with a 3-0-4 record and take over the top spot in their division with games still to be played for four other teams in their division.

Andrew Blackwell’s 68th minute equalizer secured the point in the first match in Florida against Solar Chelsea Red 02 and Bradley DiGiuseppe repeated the feat in a 1-1 draw against Besthesda SC South 02.

Driss Benslimane scored a goal in each half and Andrew Blackwell added a second half tally to lead Penn Fusion to a 3-0 win over CUP 02 Gold in the final match.

Delaware Rush 02 bounced back from a difficult first round of games with three straight wins in Florida to finish the season with a 3-4-0 record. After scoring only one goal in four games in North Carolina, DE Rush 02 outscored opponents 6-1 in Florida.

Luke Nall, Nathaniel Sellers and Alexander Krumenacker all scored inside 13 minutes in a 3-1 win over Syracuse Development Academy while Oryem Kilama scored the lone goal in the 14th minute in a 1-0 win over Baltimore Celtic 2002. Evan Hartmann and Kilama scored each side of halftime in the final game, a 2-0 win over 02 CASL Red.
