Rowan rises to fifth in national DIII poll

Haverford College joins Rowan in Top 10

Rowan University’s 9-0-0 start has the Profs fifth in the latest national DIII coaches poll, one of two teams from the region in the top 10.

Haverford College (5-1-2) rose to eighth from No. 22 in the National College Soccer Association of America rankings, while Franklin & Marshall College (5-1-3) fell from sixth to No. 14 and Elizabethtown College (5-1-1) fell five spots to No. 21. Messiah College received two votes.

Millersville University (5-2-1) dropped two spots to 22 in the DII poll. Delaware (7-2-0) was the only team from the region to receive votes in the Division 1 rankings.

Camden County College (7-0-1) stayed third in the junior college DIII rankings.

Regional Rankings

Princeton (4-2-0) moved up three spots to fifth in the Division 1 East region. Temple fell four spots to ninth, while Delaware fell one spot to fifth in the Midwest region - three spots ahead of eighth ranked Penn State.

Millersville moved down one spot to No. 3 in the DII Atlantic region. West Chester dropped to fifth. Wilmington University (4-1-0) moved up two spots to No. 6 in the East region and Goldey-Beacom College (5-1-0) entered the regional rankings at No. 10.

Haverford moved up to No. 1 in the DIII Mid-Atlantic rankings, followed by F&M, Elizabethtown, Messiah and Scranton in the top five. Gettysburg College, Lycoming College, Eastern University, Lebanon Valley College and Swarthmore College round out the regional top 10. Rowan remained No. 1 in the South Atlantic region.
