Local high schools in USA TODAY / NSCAA Top 25

The third week of high school soccer sees quite a bit of movement in the rankings.

Philadelphia Union vs Orlando City SC

Another wild week for the boys in the USA TODAY / NSCAA Super 25 Fall High School Rankings, while the girls are a little more serene.

For the third straight week there’s a new top boys’ team in the nation, as Rockhurst (7-0-0) from Kansas City, Missouri takes the top spot. Last week’s number one - St. Benedict's Prep (5-1-0) from Newark, New Jersey - wound up in third place behind week one top seed St. Ignatius (6-0-1) from Cleveland, Ohio. The top ranked local school is still Salesianum (3-1-0) from Wilmington, Delaware, although Sallies fell two spots to number six after a loss to Boulder High School (6-0-0) in Boulder, Colorado. The only other ranked team was Conestoga (6-0-0) from Berwyn, Pennsylvania, which checked in at number 25. Also receiving votes was Lower Dauphin from Hummelstown, Pennsylvania.

The girls side was much more serene, as Kaysville, Utah’s Davis (10-0-0) retained the top spot. The top ranked local team was 4-0-0 Pennsbury from Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania who moved up one spot to eighth overall. The only other ranked local team is Colts Neck (1-0-1) from Colts Neck, New Jersey, who dropped seven spots from 13th to 20th after drawing Freehold Township of Freehold, New Jersey 2-2 after two overtimes.
