Four of the six matches have been played. With just two matches remaining, the United States Men’s National Team sit second in Group C. They have seven points, trailing only Trinidad & Tobago’s ten. The US’ opponent on Friday has taken zero points from their four matches, and have been eliminated from CONCACAF’s final round of World Cup 2018 qualifying. A win for the Americans, combined with a win from Trinidad & Tobago in their match against Guatemala would secure both winners’ positions in “The Hex”. That scenario would leave Tuesday’s match only to decide who emerges in first place from the group.

Philadelphia Union midfielder Alejandro Bedoya is in the side, and could be the first active member of the Union to make an appearance for the USMNT. He has four previous caps during World Cup qualifiers.
