Bethlehem Steel FC have come to terms with the NASL’s Carolina Railhawks to loan out defender Mickey Daly.
The 29-year-old Sonoma, California native will join the Railhawks for one month with the NASL side having the option to purchase Daly at the end of the loan.
He’s made 17 appearances and scored a goal with the Steel this season after two seasons with Sacramento Republic FC and one season with the Wilmington Hammerheads. He played college soccer for Division 2 Cal State Los Angeles from 2010-2011.
The Railhawks 2-0-1 early into NASL’s fall season, good enough for middle of the table after finishing in seventh place with a 4-2-4 in the spring season.
This isn’t the first time the Philadelphia Union organization has done business with the Railhawks. Current Railhawks goalkeeper Brian Sylvestre made a dozen appearances for the Union last season on loan from Carolina and 2015 draft pick Dzenan Catic made five appearances for the NASL club on loan from the Union. Catic now plays for Rio Grande Valley FC Toros in the USL.
