The Union played hard for 120 minutes but fell short in penalties and lost to the New England Revolution Wednesday night.

The Union weren't thinking about their big matchup in Montreal this Saturday. The team battled hard for 120 minutes but didn't advance to the Open Cup semifinals as New England bested them in penalties 4-2, after a 1-1 draw. The Union showed a lot of the heart and the never-give-up attitude fans have come to appreciate as Fabian Herbers dramatically tied the score in the 90th minute. However, keeper Brand Knighton made clutch saves down the stretch and during the penalty shootout to send the Union home.

So how did the Union players against New England? There were many good shifts put in despite the loss. Fill out the sheet by rating the players on a scale from 1-10 using the guide below. The votes will be counted and in the future we'll compare the fans votes against other player ratings to see just how well the Union did.

Here's the scale:

1 - not a pro (USL/NASL/MLS) quality performance

4 - average USL starter

6 - average MLS starter

9 - MLS All Star
