After the Union's 3-2 victory over Columbus Crew SC, which saw the Philadelphia Union tie their longest undefeated streak in team history, MLS named midfielders Chris Pontius, Vincent Nogueira and defender Keegan Rosenberry to the MLS Team of the Week. On top of that, Tranquillo Barnetta made the bench, so thats four Union players total in the top 18.
Chris Pontius also received the honor of being named MLS Player of the Week, becoming the first Union player to receive the honor since Jack McInerney back in 2013. Pontius scored in the 21st minute and recorded an assist for Nogueira's goal in the 57th minute against Columbus.
Keegan Rosenberry has continued his spectacular form, effectively shutting down Justin Mearm defensivly and enduring a love tap from Conor Casey which resulted in Columbus being reduced to 10 men. I personally think that Rosenberry earned the nomination from his facial reaction to Casey's red.

Tranquillo Barnetta helped contribute to the offense which landed him on the bench of this weeks team of the week. Congratulations to all of the Union's members who landed on the team of the week!
