Union Academy and Bethlehem Steel FC defender Auston Trusty has been called up to the U.S. U20 team for a tournament this week in Carson, California.

The U.S. opens play in the second annual NTC Invitational against Costa Rica at 9 p.m. eastern time on Wednesday and plays Panama on July 1 and Japan on July 3. All three matches will be streamed on ussoccer.com.

Trusty is one of 21 players on the roster. The Media native has spent most of his time with Steel FC this season, appearing in nine USL games as an amateur while making just five starts for the U18 team. He’s committed to play college soccer this fall at the University of North Carolina.

Union Academy alumnus Sebastian Elney, a forward at the University of Maryland who was called into Tab Ramos’s team for the Dallas Cup back in March, is not on the roster.
