Union U14 game vs Chicago Fire will be streamed tonight

U.S. Soccer will be live streaming the U14 team's match from Frisco, Texas at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

While you wait for the U.S. vs Argentina match to start at 9 p.m. tonight, there’s another game in Texas for Union fans to check out.

The Philadelphia Union Academy U14 team will be playing Chicago Fire’s U14 team at 7:30 p.m. ET and U.S. Soccer is providing a live stream of the game on their YouTube account.

The match is part of the U.S. Development Academy U13/U14 showcase and is the second of three games the Union U14 team is playing down in Frisco, Texas.

It’s also the second Chicago-based club the Union will be playing on the trip. The Union U14s dropped their first game to Chicago-based Sockers FC 2-1 on Monday.

Nicholas Blacklock, who leads the team with 17 goals, opened the scoring in the 17th minute, but goals in the 40th minute from Lennyn Soriano and Stefan Stojanovic in the 55th minute handed the U14s just their second loss of the season and the first since October 24. The win was the 19th of the season for the Sockers, which remained unbeaten in 24 games.

Chicago Fire lost their first match of the showcase to L.A. United Futbol Academy on Monday by a 3-1 score. David Mendoza scored his first of the season in the losing effort for the Fire, which have drawn the Sockers twice this season.

The Union’s final game is Thursday against Portland Timbers. The U18 and U16 teams will begin group play in the U.S. Development Academy playoffs in Frisco on Wednesday. None of their group matches are scheduled for live streams.
