Former Philadelphia Union Academy goalkeeper Kyle Morton, Villanova midfielder Miguel Polley and Penn State center back Robby Sagel will all be spending the summer in Allentown with Lehigh Valley United Sonic.

Morton, a West Chester native who played for Penn Fusion and spent time with the Union Academy in its "club and country" days, will be a fifth-year senior this fall at James Madison. He's had 15 clean sheets in 52 career starts for the Dukes and a 1.11 goals against average.

Polley led Villanova in assists with six in 2015, his first year with the team after transferring from Temple. While at Temple, the former U.S. youth international from Michigan scored a goal and had three assists after redshirting his first year.

Sagel scored a goal in 16 appearances for the Nittany Lions in his first year with the team after transferring from Temple. The 6-foot-3 center back from Las Vegas, who represented the U.S. at the U17 level prior to college, had three goals and an assist in 32 appearances for the Owls.

The Sonic also announced the addition of Ohio State forward Yaw Amankwa. The Maryland native and former DC United Academy player had two goals and six assists for the Buckeyes in 2015, his first with the team after transferring from Tyler Junior College.

The Sonic will open their PDL season on May 15 against in-state rivals Reading United at noon as part of a doubleheader at Lehigh University's Goodman Stadium that includes a USL match between Bethlehem Steel FC and FC Montreal at 4 p.m.
