The Street Soccer USA Philadelphia Cup is coming to the iconic steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum this weekend. Along with local dignitaries, Street Soccer USA founder Lawrence Cann will be joined by former US Women's National Team member Heather Mitts for the opening ceremonies. The opening ceremonies will be held this Friday at noon, with games going on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and the Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and Final happening on Sunday until mid-afternoon.

More than a competition, Street Soccer USA's mission statement is to be "a social enterprise with revenue generating leagues and tournaments that leverage private donors and corporate responsibility donations to fund in-school, after school, community based club, and adult programs that improve the future of youth and young adults. "

Street Soccer Philadelphia helps homeless adults, and their stated vision is "to improve the lives of the homeless and strengthen communities in Philadelphia and surrounding areas through sport for social change initiatives."

Street Soccer helps communities across the nation and right here in the Philadelphia area. Give Street Soccer Philadelphia a follow on Facebook and come to the Art Museum this weekend to learn more about this great charity.
