Brek Shea's yellow card for a tackle against the Portland Timbers' Dairon Asprilla has been upgraded by the MLS Disciplinary Committee, meaning Shea will miss Friday's match against the Philadelphia Union.
Brek Shea will not travel to Philly this week. MLS changed his yellow card in Sunday's game to a red.

Watch the video of Shea's tackle:
The question isn't "Should Shea have been suspended?" but "Why wasn't he shown a red card immediately after this tackle?" It was a poor decision on Shea's part to come in from behind, and an even poorer decision to go high on Asprilla's calf with his left knee.
Regardless, Orlando will be forced to look to Luke Boden to start at left back this Friday at Talen Energy Stadium. The 26-year-old English left back has made 26 career MLS appearances for Orlando City including getting 61 minutes against Real Salt Lake in a 2-2 draw earlier this season.
It will be interesting to see what effect this will have on an Orlando City defense that has given up just four goals this season - one of which Boden was on the pitch for (he was subbed off before RSL's second goal).
