DC United will be sending a squad of reserves to the shore a day after their game with the Philadelphia Union on May 19.
Premier Development League club Ocean City Nor'easters will host the Union's rivals on Saturday, May 21, at 7 p.m. at Carey Stadium. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children 4-11 years old.
It will be the first meeting for the two teams since they met in the 2009 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. DC United won the match 2-0. Ocean City rebranded from the Barons to the Nor'easters after that season. They lost 2-1 to the Union in the Open Cup in 2013 and last qualified for the competition in 2014.
The Nor'easters kick off their 14-game 2016 season a day after the DC United friendly on the road at Baltimore Bohemians in a 5 p.m. match in Bel Air, Maryland.
Their 2016 roster has not been announced. Union and Bethlehem Steel FC goalkeeper John McCarthy and Bethlehem Steel FC defender Ryan Richter are both former players.
