Hi Union fans! My name's Alex and I'll be your new Daily Links poster. I thought I'd share a little about myself so you can get a sense of the kind of articles I'll be posting. Of course I'm a fan of the Union (or else I wouldn't be working here) so there will be plenty of articles about them. You'll also be seeing news from around MLS, the US National team, both men and women's team. I'll also try to post a few stories here and there about the English, German, Spanish and other big time European leagues, but don't worry this is still a Philly blog, and Philly news is what you'll get. Now without further delay, onto the links.

Coach Jim Curtin had his weekly press conference today. His quotes show just how much Curtin appreciates Andre Blake and how key he was in during not just the end, but the entire game.

After 'tumultuous' 2015, C.J. Sapong delivering for Philadelphia Union

Goal.com has an in depth interview with C.J. Sapong about his rough 2015. I'm glad he's off to a hot start for 2016, hope it continues.

Darlington Nagbe escapes serious injury after a horrific tackle from new Galaxy signing Nigel De Jong. This isn't just good new for Portland fans, but also for the USMNT as Nagbe is one of the brightest and youngest stars for the team and looks to be in contention for a spot on the squad for this summer's Copa America.

Sporting Kansas City still on top of MLS Power Rankings

Kansas City might still be on top, but the Union make a huge jump this week moving up four spots.

U.S. forward Bobby Wood plays down Hamburg links

I hope we see Bobby move up to the big leagues soon. If his development is to continue he needs to move to a bigger club.  Hopefully where there's smoke, there's fire with this story.

Cristano Ronaldo hat trick carries Real Madrid into semis

You think if we replace the statue of William Penn on top of city hall with one of Ronaldo he would come play for the Union? Zlatan would.

Manchester City beat PSG thanks to Kevin De Bruyne strike
