The Philadelphia Union added another young player to the squad, signing right winger Cole Missimo.

The Philadelphia Union announced another signing today - this time inking fourth round SuperDraft pick Cole Missimo. Missimo played college soccer at Northwestern University, contributing seven goals and 12 assists for the Wildcats during his career. Missimo is a right footed right wing, and while the Union have a surplus of these right now, Director of Soccer Earnie Stewart believes Missimo can develop into a solid MLS player. From the Union's press release:

"We have really been encouraged by the young class we have assembled this offseason and Cole is an important piece to that," Philadelphia Union Sporting Director Earnie Stewart said. "He will provide the kind of depth on the wing that we value here and we have the confidence he will harness his potential into developing into the player we know he can be." - Philadelphia Union

Missimo will most likely spend the season with Bethlehem Steel FC to hone his craft. You can check out his highlight video below.
