Game: Philadelphia Union vs. Tampa Bay Rowdies
Date: Saturday, February 20th
Time: 7:00 PM
Venue: Al Lang Stadium - Tampa, FL
Television: None
Streaming: Philadelphia Union.com
All Time Record: Tampa Bay leads the series 1-0-0, defeating the Union 1-0 in a preseason meeting last year.
How Tampa Bay will look: Tampa Bay may still be a bit rusty, having just started their preseason with a friendly against D.C. United on Saturday. In the 1-0 loss Tampa lined up in a 4-3-3, doing a wholesale switch at halftime. Tampa has several ties to the Philadelphia Union - former Union forward Danny Mwanga started the match, and the Rowdies also have former Union midfielder Freddy Adu and former trialist Georgi Hristov on their roster as well. All in all, 10 players on the roster have MLS experience.
How the Philadelphia Union will look: Expect the Union to do much like they did in their Wednesday friendly against D.C. United - give the first team starters 60-70 minutes worth of work and then get the trialists and Bethlehem Steel FC hopefuls on the pitch for the remaining time.
What to expect: This is not about the score at the end of the match, but rather a look at how the Union are coming together and getting fit. That being said, the Union have three games under their belt and Tampa has just one. That alone should be enough of an advantage to see the Union score some goals.
