Philadelphia Union officially send Kratz to Atlanta United

The Philadelphia Union has officially sent Kevin Kratz to Atlanta United Atlanta’s natural Fourth Round MLS SuperDraft pick in 2020. With Major League Soccer’s half-day trade window open from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM Eastern today, the Union was able to officially go through with the trade which had been announced last month by Earnie Stewart in his end of the year press conference.

The Union also released a list of all of the players currently under contract to the club:

Following the transaction, the Union’s roster now stands at 20 players currently under contract for the 2017 season:

Goalkeepers (2): Andre Blake, John McCarthy

Defenders (7): Fabinho, Raymon Gaddis, Richie Marquez, Keegan Rosenberry, Ken Tribbett, Auston Trusty, Josh Yaro

Midfielders (9): Roland Alberg, Eric Ayuk, Alejandro Bedoya, Brian Carroll, Warren Creavalle, Maurice Edu, Ilsinho, Derrick Jones, Chris Pontius

Forwards (2): Fabian Herbers, C.J. Sapong

The players named that were not having their options picked up (Taylor Washington, Cole Missimo, Walter Restrepo), players whose loans were not renewed (Anderson, Matt Jones), or whose contracts were still being negotiated (Leo Fernandes, Charlie Davies).
