Daniel Steres: Validating the Partnership between MLS and USL | Soccer Nation:
The example that Steres has set for LA Galaxy II is hopefully something that will happen with the Philadelphia Union now that Bethlehem Steel FC are back and functioning. These development teams mold ready made replacements for the parent club almost like the minor leagues in Major League Baseball.

Five MLS players who Premier League and Championship clubs could look at in January | HITC Sport:
With the January transfer window now open, here are five players from MLS who could make the move across the Atlantic this winter.

Former MLS players Brad Friedel, Omid Namazi named US youth team head coaches |
The US National team youth system has continued with setting up their coaching staffs. Former Tottenham HotspurBrad Friedel has been appointed coach of the newly formed U-19 side while Omid Namazi will oversee the U-18 side. Both of them bring extensive playing and coaching experience in the MLS as well as Europe and should do pretty well serving as mentors to groom the younger generation for the USMNT.

World Cup Champion Kléberson Joins the Strikers | Fort Lauderdale Strikers:
Fort Lauderdale signs Brazilian international midfielder and former Union loanee José Kléberson. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. He brings World Cup and European experience to the NASL side.

Jordan Morris to train with Werder Bremen amid pro club decision |
Jordan Morris to the Seattle Sounders isn't a done deal yet. Bundesligua side Werder Bremen, home of USMNT striker Aron Johannsson, has invited Morris to a trial that he will take part in from January 9th-20th. After the end of that it will be clearer whether Morris will be playing in the MLS or Germany.
