The Philadelphia Union Foundation has received recognition from the Chester Upland School District in relation to their Soccer for Success Program. The foundation was busy overseeing a number of programs throughout the city of Chester this past year and is looking to affect even more positive change in 2016.

Foundation Chairman Mike Curry had this to say about the recognition,

We are honored to receive this recognition from the Chester Upland School District...We have supported and started many initiatives this year within the school district and we are determined to do the same in 2016.

Throughout 2015 the Union Foundation installed a miniature soccer pitch at Stetser Elementary School, participated in a Big Brother Big Sister program, conducted mock interviews with students at Chester High School and refurbished the STEM Academy at Showalter. In addition, the team donated thousands of tickets to local youth and collected 1,500 school supplies for kids in the area.

The Philadelphia Union Foundation has done fantastic work in the community and we look forward to see what they have in store for the new year.
