The United States Men's National Team will get its first taste of competition in 2016 today, hosting 36th ranked Iceland at the StubHub Center in Carson, California. The match starts at 3:45 PM Eastern, and is available on a host of channels in both English and Spanish.

Both the 32nd ranked United States and Iceland are set for a big year. The United States are looking to qualify for their eighth straight World Cup, and are currently in the driver's seat in the CONCACAF Fourth Round of World Cup Qualification. They still have a tough home-and-away set against Guatemala as well as a home-and-away with St. Vincent and the Grenadines. They are also set to host the Copa America Centenario, which will see them compete against the best teams in CONCACAF and CONMEBOL. Iceland on the other hand are looking to tune up before heading into the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament, where they're in a group with Portugal, Austria, and Hungary. Iceland has never qualified for the World Cup, falling short in 2014 in a knockout with Croatia.
