The Philadelphia Union released the preseason training schedule on Thursday afternoon, giving some key days for the Union's preseason - including media days, open practices, and preseason friendlies. The Union players currently on the roster will report to Talen Energy Stadium on Friday, January 22nd, and will begin training on the 24th at the University of Pennsylvania's field, "The Bubble". The annual open practice will be on the 27th at the YSC facility in Wayne, PA. All other practices in the greater Philadelphia area will take place at "The Bubble". Aside from practices, the Union will host a press and media day at Talen Energy Stadium on the 28th of January.
Starting February 2nd, the Union will travel to Florida for preseason camps and friendlies in Jacksonville and Clearwater, kicking off with a friendly against the Jacksonville Armada on February 6th and then a friendly against the Chicago Fire in Clearwater on February 11th. The Union will return home on the 12th but depart for Clearwater again on the 16th. The annual fan trip to Clearwater will be on the 19th-21st of February with the Union returning home on the 28th, about a week before the season opener against FC Dallas. There will be plenty of opportunities to see the Union in action during preseason as there may be more friendlies announced as they begin training.
