USOC Final host to be determined on Wednesday

Ben Solomon/MLS/USA TODAY Sports

We won't find out if the Union will advance to their second U.S. Open Cup in as many years until next Wednesday, August 12th. But in just two days, we'll know where the deciding game will be played, whether the Union are in it or not.

The U.S. Open Cup's twitter account announced earlier today that the flip will be streamed live on ussoccer.com. The stream will start at 12:00 P.M. EDT, but I imagine there will be some pageantry so that the event is a little bit longer than 14 seconds.

The Union won the coin flip last year, which is why the final was held at PPL Park. This year, a loss in the flip would mean a final in either Salt Lake City or Kansas City.

Up until 2012, participants would place sealed bids for the right to host games. There's now a lot less money involved in these decisions, as U.S. Soccer uses its trusty coin to place games.

Predict the result of the flip in our poll below!
