Philadelphia Union U-18 and U-16 defender Auston Trusty is in camp for the first time with the U.S. Under-17s for a domestic training camp in East Hanover, New Jersey.
The Media, PA native has played on both the Union Academy U-18 and U-16 teams this year and is verbally committed to play college soccer at the University of North Carolina.
He's played in 17 games and started 14 for the U-16 team this season, scoring four goals. He's started in four games for the U-18 team in U.S. Development Academy play, all in 2015.
Trusty is with 19 other players in the domestic camp, which runs through May 11 at the New York Red Bulls' practice facility. It's the first time the team has gathered in a full-time capacity since competing at the 2015 CONCACAF U-17 Championship in Honduras earlier this year.
The team qualified for the U-17 World Cup in the tournament in Honduras following a 5-4 shootout victory over Jamaica. The 2015 U-17 World Cup will be held from October 17 to November 8 in Chile.
