Venezuela National Team manager Noel Sanvicente and the Federación Venezolana de Fútbol (the Venezuelan Football Federation) announced its final 26 man roster for the Copa América tournament, which starts on June 11th and runs through July 4th. Philadelphia Union forward Fernando Aristeguieta was invited into the camp but did not make the final roster, and thus will be available for the Union as they head to New Jersey to face the New York Red Bulls on Sunday. Manager Jim Curtin said in his weekly press conference on Wednesday that if Aristeguieta didn't make the Venezuela roster, that he'd most likely be a bench option against the Red Bulls.
Aristeguieta leads the Union with three goals in nine appearances this season. He missed three matches this season, one with a broken hand. He also has been capped fifteen times by Venezuela, scoring his lone goal in a friendly against El Salvador in 2011.
