If you're a Philadelphia Union fan looking for a college soccer team to root for, North Carolina has bolstered its case.
Union Academy forward Sean Wilson committed to the ACC power this week, joining teammate Will Campbell as freshman-to-be in Chapel Hill this fall and current Tar Heel and Academy alumnus Colton Storm.
The duo from the class of 2015 will be joined by a pair of commitments from the class of 2016 in midfielder Jack Skahan and defender Auston Trusty.
Georgetown has been another popular destination for Union Academy alums with the trio of Keegan Rosenberry, Melvin Snoh and Brett Campbell currently playing for the Big East power.
Wilson, a West Chester native, is in his second season with the Union Academy, joining the U-16 team last year after playing with Players Development Academy for three years. He's also a member of the U.S. Under-18 player pool. He joined the team along with Union teammate Sebastian Elney for the 2015 Copa Chivas Tournament in Mexico in late January.
Wilson's college commitment wasn't the only one from the Academy ranks this week.
U-16 goalkeeper Andrew Verdi made a verbal commitment to the University of Michigan for the class of 2016.
