Raheem Taylor-Parkes scored in the 13th minute and Justin McMaster added what held up to be the game-winner in the 30th minute in a 2-1 win for the U-16 team over San Jose Earthquakes in the final Group C game of the Generation Adidas Cup finals in Frisco, Texas, on Wednesday.

The Union finished the group in third place with a win and two losses. Eintracht Frankfurt won the group with 9 points after beating Palmeiras on Wednesday, but both teams advanced to the semifinals along with River Plate and FC Dallas.
Andrew Verdi, Rayshaun McGann, Auston Trusty, Joe Dezart, Robert Campbell, Alex Soto, Andrew Aprahamian, Jack Skahan and Dawson McCartney were also in the starting XI for the Union, which gets to play two additional consolation games before returning home from the tournament.
The first of those games is today at 3 p.m. central against Aspire Academy from Qatar. They'll play one final game on Saturday at 2 p.m. central time against an opponent to be announced.
