Former Philadelphia Union striker Brian Brown has signed with Indy Eleven of the North American Soccer League. The Jamaican striker will join on a loan deal, just as he did with the Union in the middle of the 2014 season.
Indy Eleven President Peter Wilt credited the Union staff for their scouting reports on Brown. "Our staff got some great feedback on Brian from Mike Sorber and Jim Curtin in Philadelphia," said Wilt.
Indy is short on goalscorers, after losing seven players who accounted for 22 goals in 2014. There is only one forward on the Eleven's roster at the moment.
Brian Brown scored two goals in 230 minutes for the Union, both of which came against Sporting Kansas City. The most memorable of the pair came in Kansas City, as Brown headed in an equalizer.
Brown will join former Union midfielder Kleberson in Indy. Kleberson led the team in scoring last year, as he netted eight.
