Team News
Aron Johannsson will miss the match against Switzerland and will undergo treatment for an infection. He will be replaced by Stanford and Seattle U-23 forward Jordan Morris. The Liga MX duo of William Yarbrough and Ventura Alvarado may be in line to get their first starts for the USMNT as both have been highly praised by coach Jurgen Klinsmann. Look out for Jozy Altidore as he chases Brian McBride on the all-time scoring list for the USMNT. Altidore only needs three goals to pass the former MLS and Permier League star.
The Opposition
The Swiss have their fair share of top quality talent that should test the USMNT more than Denmark did. Xheridan Shaqiri, Granit Xhaka and Ricardo Rodriguez are some of the better players in their respective leagues and will surely give the inexperienced back four of the USMNT a run for their money. The US struggled to defend against Denmark and they may have an equally difficult time against the Swiss
