Union's technical director Chris Albright on the Aristeguieta loans says,"We're very excited to add Fernando to our roster. He adds a different quality up front and has experience at both the international and club levels. He's a player with a very bright future and we look forward to him having an immediate impact as we approach the season."
Aristeguieta has played for Venezuelan club Caracas where he scored 31 goals in his 4 year career with them and then made 45 appearances with the Ligue 1 French side, FC Nantes, scoring 9 goals.
Aristeguieta is looking forward to playing with the Union, saying that he is "very excited and thankful for the opportunity to join the Philadelphia Union."
Welcome to Philadelphia Fernando Aristeguieta!
