The National Soccer Coaches Association of America and USA TODAY released their weekly ranking of high school soccer teams, and Southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware were well represented in both the boys and girls Top 25 Lists.
For the boys, the top spot again went to St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, New Jersey, who are 17-0-0 and will face Blair in the New Jersey Prep A State Championship today. The top rated school in our area is again Central Bucks East from Doylestown, who at 20-0-0 are up three spots to 12th place. Also rising three spots is Father Judge from Philadelphia, who are 19-0-0. Just missing the top 25 but still receiving votes was Salesianum (11-3-1) in Wilmington, Delaware, and Conestoga (11-0-0) in Berwyn.
For the girls, the number one ranked team is still Northern Allandale in Allandale, NJ at 18-0-0. There wasn't much movement in the top 25, so the top rated school in our area is still 21-0-0 Cumberland Valley from Mechanicsburg, PA at seventh place.The Central Bucks East girls remain in 20th with a 19-0-1 record, and rounding out the top 25 is Immaculate Heart Academy from Washington Township, NJ at 14-4-0.
The NSCAA/USA TODAY Polls will continue weekly, with the last poll being released on November 24.
