Poetry Corner Kicks: Union 0 - D.C. United 1

The Union 2014 season has proved to be a difficult Muse at times.

Conor Casey tries to figure out who to pay to get a goal around here.

All right.  This is getting monotonous.  This same ol’ story here for the Union.  In the interest of saving everyone some time and effort, I’m just copying and pasting the poetry recap from the Montreal gamea couple of weeks ago.  It's rather uncanny.  Red lined for your convenience...

The game was played out in the rain
Union fans were feeling pain
Of ties and losses by the ton
At least they only lost by one

Montreal D.C.U. got on the board
At the minute ten plus four six
Felipe Rolfe-y shot it on the run like a gun
At least they only lost by one

Wenger’s shot, a little poke
Was saved by that there Perkins Hamid bloke
The build up here was kinda fun
At least they only lost by one

The Union put some pressure on
But a goal could not be won
Their offense hiding, like the sun
At least they only lost by one

Noggy had a chance to score
His shot went high, his aim was poor
Could the Union get it done?
At least they only lost by one

Jack would go and proveEJ tried to be a nettle
He tried a shot to prove his mettle
But Jack by Zac was here outdoneAn "offside" call on EJ’s run
At least they only lost by one

The rest would play the same ol’ story:
Philly never finding glory
Has Hackworth’s countdown now begun?
At least they only lost by one
