As you probably know, today is the 2014 MLS Expansion Draft. Today we'll see if any other Philadelphia Union players will be selected by either New York City FC or Orlando City SC. There are lots of talks of "gentleman's agreements" and "what-if's", so this draft will not be short on intrigue and drama. The rules are that each team is allowed to select ten players, so with 20 overall players moving the odds are good that the Union will lose at least one player. If a player is selected from a team, the team will be allowed to protect an additional player. If a second player is selected from a team, no other players from that team can be selected.
We've looked at who's available and who should have been protected, done mock drafts, and bemoaned the trades that led up to this. Now the time has arrived to see who stays and who goes.
