Paid Their Dues: Mexican Clausura Begins

Michael Orozco's club, Puebla, needed two stoppage time goals to salvage a point from their match with Pumas. While compatriot DaMarcus Beasley played the whole game, Orozco watched from the bench. Puebla will be looking to improve upon their 13th place finish in the Apertura.

Michael Farfan was not in the match squad for Cruz Azul in their scoreless draw with Monterrey.

Gateshead drew Halifax 3-3 on New Year's Day, and defeated Hyde 4-0 on Saturday, but Joe Tait wash not present for either game. The club has announced that Tait is on the transfer list.

Alajuelense has also added six months onto Porfirio Lopez's contract, which was set to expire at the end of 2013. They have also offered him a contract that would keep him at the club for three more years.
